ISSI Institute of Control & Computation Engineering

The classes in the laboratory allow students to obtain the theoretical knowledge and practical skills from the area of designing, constructing and maintaining local and wide area computer networks. A special attention is devoted to the telepresence and VoIP telephony technologies. Moreover, the students discover the wireless technologies and methods of ensuring the security in the computer networks. They learn about the routing protocols RIP, IGRP, EGRP, OSPF, BGP, properties of the VLANs, VoIP technologies, methods of ensuring quality of services within IntServ and DiffServ strategies and IPv4/IPv6 addressing schemes. The well-equipped laboratory allows for practical teaching of the architectures and configuration methods of the routers, switches, firewalls, wireless bridges and access points. In the laboratory the equipment such as the routers CISCO 2811, 2801, 2610, 1921, switches Catalyst 2960, WS-C2950T-24, WS-C2924-XL-EN, firewalls PIX-515E-R-DMZ-BUN, wireless Cisco Bridge1300, AIR-BR 1310G-E-K9-R, access points AP1200, AIR-AP1232AG-E-K9 can be distinguished among others.

The learning program has been developed on the basis of the prestigious Cisco courses:
  • CCNA Discovery,
  • CCNA Exploration,
  • CCNA Routing and Switching,
  • CCNA Security,
  • CCNP.

The class activities are conducted by the instructors of the Local CISCO Academy Laboratory of Institute of Control & Computation Engineering who have more than 10 years of learning experience in the frame of the Cisco Networking Academy program.
